We made new stained glass leaded lights to complement this beautiful home in Streatham. The entire set comprises 21 individual leaded lights.

The new stained glass creates a kaleidoscope of colours
VICTORIAN FRONT DOOR RESTORATION [REF: CR30]
We made a new stained glass leaded light to replace one that was beyond repair. This gave the client the opportunity to choose something meaningful to be depicted in the hand-painted centre roundel - a blue footed booby!

We restored all thirteen Victorian stained glass leaded lights, which were in need of TLC. This included replacing broken handpainted/silverstained/coloured glass pieces and re-building of most of the leaded lights. One of the leaded lights in the door (bottom right) was completely replaced, and the hand-painted centre roundel depicts a bird of the client's choice - blue footed booby!

The stained glass was designed to be in keeping with glass in the other properties in this conservation area of Wandsworth . The clients chose the subject of the handpainted centrepiece - a red kite, which was of personal significance for them.Â

SALAMANDER
This internal stained glass door panel was inspired by the Gaudi salamander mosaics in Park Güell, Barcelona.Â

Although the design of this front door set is quite a traditional style, the client opted for a more contemporary colour palette to suite her newly refurbished home in
Sydenham.

HAND-PAINTED STAINED GLASS
Wandle Glassworks specialises in hand-painted stained glass. We use a vitreous paint that is fired onto the glass in a kiln. A firing is required for each colour and layer of shading.

We also specialise in acid etched and sandblasted glass. This particular piece was made to match the original Victorian glass in a front porch in Putney.
