Repairs
Whenever
possible, repairs to leaded lights are carried out in situ. However,
this is not always possible if there are several broken pieces of
glass or the lead has been weakened. Therefore the cost of removing
and refitting the panel needs to be taken into consideration. Please
get in touch should you wish to arrange for me to inspect your damaged
stained glass and provide you with a free quotation.

Before
Sadly
an attempted break-in resulted in the central handpainted roundel
and surrounding lead and glass to be damaged
|
After
I
made a new handpainted roundel depicting a bird, matched and replaced
the broken glass and re-leaded the panel so it is now as good as
new

Before
[Ref:
Rep1] This leaded light at St Mary's Church in Ilford had been badly
vandalised during an attempted break in.
|
After
The
windows were removed and rebuilt using new lead and handblown glass
to match the original. Once repaired the windows were refitted and
the Vicar's view was restored.

Before
This
door had lost much of the original glass over the years and some
of the remaining panels had damaged/missing pieces
|
After
I
made new panels with handpainted and silverstained pieces to match
the original to restore the door to its former glory

 |
 |
|
Before
This
window had one piece of handpainted glass missing
|
After
I
made a new piece, handpainting the foliage to match the original
glass. This repair I carried out without having to remove the entire
panel.
